Know the condition of the complete chilled water plant.

We survey the chillers, chilled water system and supporting equipment, then give you a clear scope of work.

Where we work

You need to know the condition of the chillers, chilled water system and supporting equipment. On offshore, marine and remote sites, another survey visit takes time and costs money. We collect the information properly so your team has a clear scope of work.

Offshore installations. FPSOs. Drilling units. Vessels alongside or in the yard. Remote industrial plants.

We check the chillers, chilled water system, instruments and available documentation while we are on site.

The result is a report your team can act on. Parts can be ordered. Shutdowns can be planned. Your technicians can arrive knowing what work is required.

A report your team can act on

Complete equipment summary

Every machine is identified, including refrigerant type and charge. The report includes a survey summary and equipment summary.

Clear findings

Each finding includes the evidence behind it and why it matters. Required actions are separated by responsible party.

Remaining scope of work

You get an itemised remaining scope of work with priorities. If we can correct a fault during the survey, we do it.

Parts information

The report includes part numbers, quantities, lead times and sourcing responsibility. Your team can use this information to plan the remaining work.

How we work

Talk with us

We get on a call to discuss the chilled water plant and whether we can help or should send you to someone better suited.

Review the information

We review the available information and decide if a site visit is needed.

Survey the site

If needed, we visit the site. We check the chillers, chilled water system, instruments and available documentation.

Get the report

We present a detailed visual report with explanations and options. If no site visit is needed, you get the same report.

What a survey actually catches

See how a chilled water survey on an offshore plant identified missing differential pressure gauges, no condenser flow switch and the work required to correct the findings.

An offshore installation had never had good temperature control. There were always alarms on the chillers. In the customer’s own words, one of the two machines had never run right since the beginning.

Both were faulting. One tripped on high head pressure. The other tripped on low evaporator flow on every single start.

Nobody had been able to close it out, and the reason was simple once we looked. There were no differential pressure gauges across the evaporators or the condensers. The instruments needed to prove flow had never been fitted. Years of alarms, and the one measurement that would have explained them did not exist.

There was no condenser flow switch either. When the condenser lost flow the machine kept running and tripped on high head pressure at full load. That is very hard on a screw compressor, and it had been happening repeatedly.

We restricted flow to the offline machine to keep the other one running while we were on board, then wrote the scope for the permanent fix: fit the gauges, fit the flow switch, calibrate both flow switches and define a new start-up procedure.

We also found almost every refrigerant relief valve past its service life and weeping gas, a relief discharge that was not piped to a safe location, which is an asphyxiation risk under NS-EN 378, a leaking compressor suction gasket, and three incorrect oil pressure transducers.

None of that was in the original complaint. The complaint was that it alarms.

That is what a survey is for. Not a list of what is broken today, but a list of what is going to break, and what is missing that stops anyone proving it.

Your customer stays your customer

We work for you and report back to you. We do not quote repairs, sell equipment or parts, or approach your customer for service work. You decide what goes to your client and what happens next, and your team carries out the work.

Common questions

We survey the chillers, chilled water system and supporting equipment. Every machine is identified, including refrigerant type and charge, and the report includes the evidence behind each finding. We also correct faults during the survey where possible.

Yes. We work offshore, on FPSOs, drilling units, vessels alongside or in the yard, and at remote industrial plants.

You receive a report covering the survey and equipment summary, required actions by responsible party, and an itemised remaining scope of work with priorities. It also includes a parts list with part numbers, quantities, lead times and sourcing responsibility, plus the evidence behind each finding.

No. We do not sell chillers, compressors, equipment or parts, and we do not quote repairs. Our role is to survey the plant and report the findings to you.

We work for the contractor and report to the contractor. You decide what happens next, and your team carries out the work. We do not approach your client for service work.

Yes. The contractor decides what happens next, and the contractor's team carries out the work. Required actions in the survey report are separated by responsible party.
